Please allow this letter to serve as a letter of support from the Board of Weld County Commissioners for
The Weld Trust to become the new fiscal agent for Weld County's Colorado Opportunity Scholarship
Initiative (COSI) Program grant application in the amount of $276,583.
As of April 1, 2021, Bright Futures will be under the fiscal agency of The Weld Trust. The program will
no longer be under the umbrella of Upstate Colorado. We are excited for this change and look forward to
seeing Bright Futures continue to grow under the leadership of The Weld Trust.
The Weld County Board of Commissioners will continue to invest in Bright Futures by funding
administration costs and fundraising programs such as the tax incentive initiative and student grants.
We appreciate your consideration for this program where together we can build Bright Futures for all of
Weld County!
