SUBJECT: MEETING ON GREELEY-EVANS 201 PLANNING AREA IDENTIFICATION--APRIL 9th
This will advise you that the State Health Department has requested a meeting
on the Greeley-Evans 201 Planning Area Identification.
•
Therefore, I have scheduled a meeting at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 9th in the
Commissioners' meeting room of the Weld County Courthouse (9th Avenue & 9th Street)
in Greeley.
Enclosed for your information are two letters from the State Health Department
dated March 19, 1974 and March 27, 1974.

Re: Facilities Planning (201) Greeley Area
Gentlemen:
The area in and around Greeley is identified as "non-complex" for
purposes of facilities planning for the South Platte Water Quality
Management Plan.
The boundries of the area for 201 planning are described as follows:
East boundry - Township line between Range 64 West
and Range 65 West
North boundry - State Highway 392 (east-west line
through Lucerne) .
West boundry - Township line between Range 66 West
and Range 67 West, including Section 36,
Township 6 North, Range 67 West and Sec-
tions 1 and 12, Township 5 North, Range
67 West.
South boundry - Big Thompson River and South Platte
River.

Dear Mr. Billings:
Under date of March 19 , 1974 this Division identified and described a Facilities
(201 ) Planning Area in and around Greeley. This designation was sent to the
Larimer-Weld Council of Governments. •
It appears there are three entities in this area now planning to expand or
modify thefts sewage treatment facilities. In order to meet the objectives
of the Basin Water Quality Management Plan , now under preparation , it would
be advisable to hold a meeting with representatives of the agencies concerned.
We are requesting the Larimer-Weld Council of Governments be the lead agency
in arranging a meeting with the City of Greeley , the Evans Sanitation District,
the Hill and Park Sanitation District , and this Division to discuss the area
designation and procedures to be followed in the 201 planning process. ��
