RE: R4273806 - Property Valuation Dispute
The Weld County Board of Equalization ("CBOE"), pursuant to Colorado law, has authority to hear petitions for
appeal from persons whose objections to, or protests of, excessive, erroneous, or illegal valuation have been
refused or denied by the County Assessor. However, for tax year 2021, it does not appear that you appealed
the Assessor's Office Notice of Valuation (NOV) by June 1, 2021. You first must appeal the Assessor's Office,
and then if you do not agree with the Assessor's determination, you can appeal at the next level to the CBOE.
Therefore, the County Board of Equalization does not have jurisdiction to hear your appeal and thus, your
petition is dismissed.

Please accept this email as our formal notice to Weld County that we are disputing the arbitrary valuation and tax
increase being levied on our property located at 49607 Antelope Ln in Wellington, CO. Despite outrageous increases in
the prior cycle and no evidence presented by the assessors office, our taxes are set to rise again, even though no
appreciable increase in services are being provided. The county also lacks a reasonable forum for the constituents to
appeal these increases. I attempted to use the Weld County web site to file this appeal, but the site would not
recognize my residence as eligible for appeal!
I look forward to the response from the assessors office in regards to this request for appeal.
