HomeMy WebLinkAbout720574.tiff ,A)7 7s� RESOLUTION RE: PROVIDING SPACE FOR JUVENILES IN THE GREELEY POLICE DEPARTMENT FACILITIES. WHEREAS, it is apparent to the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that there is a lack of necessary space in the present Weld County Jail for the care of juveniles who need detention from time to time, and WHEREAS, the Greeley Police Department facilities have been used frequently to house juveniles whenever space is not available in the County without compensation from the County, and WHEREAS, the City of Greeley, by John P. Parkinson, Chief of Police, has brought to the attention of the County, the matter of space and attendant costs for housing of juveniles detained at the city jail, and WHEREAS, until future and more permanent arrangements can be made to house such juveniles, the Board believes it to be in the best interests of the County to enter into an agreement with the City of Greeley relative to incarceration of juveniles in the city jail and pro- viding for reimbursement to the city for such services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the attached agreement with the City of Greeley providing for such services be, and it hereby is approved.
