RE: Upgrade of Permitted wind generators near non -maintained Weld County road rights -of -way
Ms. Garland,
We understand that some of the existing wind generator towers permitted under AMUSR-1723 are being
upgraded, and that six such towers are within the setback distance from County road right-of-way that was
adopted in the Weld County Code subsequent to permitting and installation of the existing towers.
Notwithstanding their locations within the setback of various unbuilt and non -maintained Weld County
road rights -of -way, Weld County does not have any concerns with your proposed upgrades to the towers
identified as N16, N19, N21, N59, N60, and G21 on the attached maps. Weld County consents to the
reduced or eliminated setbacks from the road rights -of -way at the locations of those towners. As a result,
there is no need for the variance requests which you provided to Chris Gathman earlier this month.
