Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment Second Floor Hearing Room 210 & via Microsoft Teams The Weld County Board of Health met on July 27, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor hearing room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via Microsoft Teams. Those present included: Board Members: Nicholas Berryman, Bree Lukens, Fred Hepner, James Kuemmerle, Tim Annable, and Anthony Gallardo. Others: Mark Lawley, Executive Director, Holly Smith Public Health Administration and Katie Sall Environmental Health. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The meeting was called to order at 9:03 AM. A motion was made by Fred Hepner to approve the agenda. Tim Annable seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The board approved the minutes of the June 22, 2021 meeting. A motion was made to approve by Fred Hepner and Tim Annable seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT: Mark Lawley, Executive Director Mark Lawley said they are working with Kim Boyd on a new employee survey that will be coming out soon. Holly Smith gave an update of the strategic plan groups: Group 1 — Employee Survey Group 2 — Quality Improvement — The are working with the leadership team Group 3- Community Partnership — Working on new marketing materials and partnerships Projects: Department reaccreditation in review — Due out in November County Wide Health Report- Due by the end of July or early August Thriving Weld- Meets quarterly on-line- http://thrivingweld.com/ Annual 2020 Report- Finalized. We do have a problem here in Weld County and we are working on getting ahead of it. Care Messaging- a phone system that call people to remind them of their appointment with us Power DMS Roll Out —All our documents will be housed here Commork:Co1+;ranS o /oN /21 2021-2290 IT Retention Schedule- Will show ALL of our records, where they are stored and when we can destroy them Performance Evaluation Process- Approved by HR. We will roll -out sometimes in August 2022 Budget Prep- All completed Emergency Plan/Safety Committee- All ready to go.... Will review with staff at the next meeting on August 4th Lab Remodel- Estimated start September and hope to be completed in November. Biosolids Renewal: Denali Water Solutions — Katie Sall presented 9 biosolid renewal applications. No public comment or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval. DS -200667, DS -200813, DS -200814, DS -200816 DS -200821, DS -200819, DS -200823, DS -200824, and DS -200319, A motion was made Bree Lukens to approval the renewals. Fred Hepner seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously. Staff Discussions - Looking for a Board Member to replace Katerie Lauck in District 4. After the lab remodel is completed the Board of Health members would like to have a tour when we can schedule it. Meeting was adjourned at 9:30 am. Next meeting is August 24, 2021.
