BOX 758 GREELEY, CO 80632 Colorado Parks and Wildlife State Trails Program 13787 U.S. Highway 85 N. Littleton, CO 80125 Re: Weld County Support for City of Longmont St. Vrain Greenway Phase 13 Project To Whom It May Concern: The Weld County Board of County Commissioners are pleased to support the City of Longmont's St. Vrain Greenway Phase 13 mulit-use trail project and Longmont Parks & Natural Resources Department's 2021 ORLP grant application for Land and Water Conservation Funding for project construction costs. St. Vrain Greenway Phase 13 project limits extend from Longmont's Sandstone Ranch Nature Area to St. Vrain State Park, which completes an important regional multi -use trail connection to Weld County's Legacy Trail on the east side of St. Vrain State Park. Weld County supported this project through our DRCOG Southwest Weld Subregional Transportation Forum because this multi -modal trail connection completes not only an important segment of the St. Vrain Greenway, but also the Colorado Front Range Trail system. This regional trail connection provides Weld County residents access to miles of trail and open space connections making it easier for residents to safely walk, bike, or commute between Boulder and Weld counties. This regional trail is a vital recreational resource and we hope Colorado Parks and Wildlife supports Longmont by funding this grant application.
