RE: Notice of the Need for the Control or Eradication of Noxious Weeds
Dear Landowner:
Under provision of the Colorado Weed Management Act (35-5.5-109 CRS), and Weld County Code, Chapter
15, Article II this letter is to serve as notice that the presence of noxious weeds has been observed on
properties which are owned, leased, and/or occupied by you and located in: Section J. Township 2 North,
Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado. The property is designated in the Weld County
Assessor's Office as parcel number 131127400001.
The noxious weeds present on the property include: Scotch thistle(onopordum acanthium)_
Because these weeds aregoing to seed and producing viable seed that will infest neighboring lands, they must
be mowed down, cut or disked under to keep from blowing.
Section 35-5.5-109, C.R.S. and Weld County Code, Chapter 15, requires you to control the weeds by
using at least one of these methods by JULY 08, 2021, or submit an acceptable weed management plan
with an acceptable completion date or request an arbitration panel by July 08, 2021, If you do not
comply by July 08 2021, I will request a Right of Entry from the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County to enter the property to control the designated noxious weeds at your expense, as
provided in Section 35-5.5-109 (5a) C.R.S. and Weld County Code, Chapter 15.
I will be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding the control or eradication of the noxious weeds
on the property. I am also available to assist you in developing short and long term weed management plans.
The office phone number is 970-400-3769, or 3770. Please ask for Tina Booton or me.
Sincerely,
Scott A Dallman
