CERTIFICATION OF TAX LEVY
To: County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado
This is to certify that the tax levy to be assessed by you
upon all property within the limits of the
County of Weld for the year 1970 , as determined
and fixed by the Regional Transportation District in Resolution
No. 26 adopted October 22, 1970 , is . 42 mills. The revenue
derived from said levy is to be used for the purpose of paying
the expenses of the Regional Transportation District and interest
upon and principal of outstanding tax anticipation notes , and you
are hereby authorized and directed to extend said levy upon your
tax list.
This is to further certify that attached hereto is a true
and correct copy of said Resolution No. 26 levying taxes
for the year 1970.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
the seal of the Regional Transportation District, this 22nd day of
October, 1970.

Resolution No. 26, Series of 1970
WHEREAS, the Regional Transportation District has adopted
a General Fund Budget for the calendar year 1971 and has made an
•
appropriation from the General Fund to meet said budget in the
amount of $1,280,050.00, and
WHEREAS, the district is advised that the valuation for
assessment of taxable property within the district is $3,049,141,830
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Board of Directors of the
Regional Transportation District, pursuant to authority granted to
it by statute, to fix a rate of levy which rate, when levied upon
every dollar of valuation for assessment for the year 1970 within the
district, shall raise the sum necessary to meet such budget and approp-
riation and to certify to the counties within the district and the City
and County of Denver the rate so fixed with directions to such counties
and the City and County of Denver to levy and collect such taxes upon
the taxable property within their respective counties or city and county.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors
of the Regional Transportation District hereby determines that a rate
of levy of .42 mills will raise the sum necessary to meet the budget
and appropriation of the district for the calendar year 1971 and does
hereby fix the rate of levy for the 1970 taxes at .42 mills.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the
Regional Transportation District shall certify by its Treasurer to the
counties within the district and the City and County of Denver the rate
of .42 mills to be levied upon the taxable property, within their res-
pective counties or city and county with directions to levy and collect
such taxes.
Passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of the Regional
Transportation District on the 22nd day of October, 1970.

Ad Valorem Tax By the
Regional Transportation District

Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Section 137-1-10 , Colorado Revised Statutes ,
1963 , as amended, you are hereby notified that the Regional
Transportation District was created as of July 1 , 1969 , by the
Regional Transportation District Act, Chapter 231, Session Laws
of Colorado, 1969 714. The boundaries of the Regional Transporta-
tion District are co-extensive with the City and County of Denver
and the counties of Adams , Arapahoe , Jefferson, Boulder, Weld and
Douglas.
This shall constitute official notice from the governing
body of the Regional Transportation District that said district
will levy an ad valorem tax for the calendar year 1970.
