TO THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GREELEY, WELD COUNTY, COLORADO:
The undersigned, being the owner of land adjacent to the here-
inafter described alley in the City of Greeley, Weld County, Colorado,
hereby petitions the City Council of the City of Greeley, Weld County,
Colorado, to vacate the following described east-west alley as platted in
Block 65, City of Greeley, Weld County, Colorado, to-wit:•
That portion of east-west alley, in Block 65, between
9th Avenue and lath Avenue, in the City of Greeley,
Weld County, Colorado,
as shown on plat duly recorded in the office of the County Clerk and Recorder,
Weld County, Colorado.
As grounds for this petition, petitioner states that said alley is
located adjacent to property wholly owned by petitioner; that petitioner
contemplates the erection of a new County Services Building on most of said
Block 65 adjacent to the present Weld County Courthouse Building and
practically the whole block, including the aforementioned alley, will be
necessary as shown on present plans for the County Services Building
complex; that after the County Services Building complex is completed, the
alley would carry no traffic and would be of no benefit to the City or to the
public and/or to the County; that it would be for the best interests of the
public, of the petitioner and of the City to have said alley vacated.
Attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference is a plat
of said Block 65 showing sail alley ther2on and sufficiently described.
Said plat was prepared by The Security Abstract Company, Greeley, Colorado,
and shows the relation of said alley as platted to the adjacent lots which ar•e
affected thereby.
WHEREFORE, petitioner prays that the City Council of the City
of Greeley by ordinance vacate said alley.
