HomeMy WebLinkAbout720513.tiff PROCLAIM A DAY OF MOURNING FOR PRESIDENT HARRY S. TRUMAN: WHEREAS, due to the death of President Harry S. Truman, President Richard M. Nixon, issued a proclamation designating Thursday, December 28, 1972, a National Day of Mourning; and WHEREAS, Lt. Governor John D. Vanderhoof of the State of Colorado, made a similar proclamation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that due to the death of President Harry S. Truman, it does hereby proclaim Thursday, December 28, 1972, a Day of Mourning; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the flag shall be lowered to half mast for a period of thirty days, ending January 28, 1973.
