Telep County Attorney First National Bank Building Greeley, Colorado Dear Sam: Regarding your letters of February 9th and March 5th, I am forwarding to you a sketch of what we will construct at the Kuner Bridge site. The design is a self destruct dam with control for their water. I do not feel that a permanent facility should be that close to our structure. As you probably know we have 2 problems at this location during high water (1) low road 600' north and, (2) control for this elevation. In the letter from Mr. Pugh he referred to a channel section with sloped banks protected by rejected slabs laid lengthwise. This would be excellent if rejected slabs were available. There are nonenow and probably won't be until August. I am enclosing a sketch showing materials and location. As I stated before it will be self destruct and should a flood come the piling will be cut on both the web and upstream flange to allow the pile to bend down stream. This will allow all debris and trash to pass under our bridge and hopefully save the structure. We could drive the piling and start work in the latter part of next week. I hope this answers your questions. Sincerely, County', Engineer // BFE/wa V j\C.. Tt Y, 5 / 70034 ;.. \`YnNy M. ° , r 1 /c Hello
