and statutes spell out the various county 'officers, their
duties, election, qualifications and alaries.H Most of these
laws were written over 100 years ago when the county had a .

county and be controlled by the people of the coutny, not bp

Thee charter is limited to changes in structure. The
. constitutional and statutory functions must be met regardless
of how the various offices are put together. i must emphasize -
this process is controlled by the people of Weld County ,
throughout. .
Thu first step toward.County County Rome Rule is a petition
calling for an e:lect.ion. ' ,This petition.must be signed by at -.
least 1900 qualified electors in Weld County. This figure is

Who will sit on the charter commission? .21 charter commissioners'
