Subject: 1105 H Street Generator Design - Task Order (2022-0530)
Cairn Design, LLC was awarded the bid for architectural design/engineering for the Probation Offices
remodel and subsequent on -call design work.
The Facilities Building at 1105 H Street will be the new location for the county security office. This will
require the need for generator power backup. Design work is needed to provide this additional service.
Cairn Design has provided a quote for this additional design work at $5,305.00 using the fees identified in
their bid. Therefore, the Facilities Department is recommending approving this task order in amount of
$5,305.00

TASK ORDER #2 PURSUANT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN
WELD COUNTY AND CAIRN DESIGN, LLC
May 16, 2022
Project Title: Facilities Generator - Architectural and Engineering Services
Completion Date: September 16, 2022
Compensation: $5,305.00
Original Agreement: Weld County document no. 2022-0530
Pursuant to the "Original Agreement", the Parties may agree to additional work to be provided
by Contractor pursuant to an appropriately executed Task Order, which shall be negotiated
between the Parties on an as -needed basis. Any such Task Order shall be signed by the Weld
County Facilities Director before it shall be effective. In no event shall the total of all Task Orders
exceed $25,000 in any calendar year, unless first approved by the Board of County
Commissioners. Any appropriately executed Task Order shall be automatically incorporated
herein and enforceable.
Scope of Task Order:
The project will involve full architectural and engineering design and construction
administration of the Weld County Facilities Generator. Cairn Design, LLC will provide
architectural and electrical engineering design under this agreement including:
• Survey of existing conditions
• Development of existing conditions plans
• Development of plans and details for the generator pad
• Development of One -Line diagram
• Development of Lighting and Power plans
• Load calculations
Contractor agrees to perform the services identified above and on the attached Exhibit in
accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein and in the Original Agreement
between the parties.

RE: Weld County Buildings and Grounds Generator - Architectural and Engineering Additional
Services
In accordance with the fees identified in our bid, our lump sum price for this on -call work for this
project is $5,305.00.
Scope of Work:
The project will involve full architectural and engineering design and construction administration
of the Weld County Building and Grounds Generator in Greeley, CO. Cairn Design, LLC will
provide architectural and electrical engineering design under this agreement including:
• Survey of existing conditions
• Development of existing conditions plans
• Development of plans and details for the generator pad
• Development of One -Line diagram
• Development of Lighting and Power plans
• Load calculations
Scope of Services:
The scope of services included in this proposal are limited to the following:
• Confirming existing generator characteristics
• Coordinating with the client to determine loads to be powered
• Coordination with the utilities
• Coordination with the client as required to execute the scope of work
Compensation:
Total Design Fee - $5,305.00
Changes in scope, additional trips to the site, or added services would be billed hourly identified
in the On -Call contract, unless a fixed fee is agreed to in advance for the specific service.
