DIVISION OF LAND NO. 1059-7-3-RE135
DETERMINED TO BE EXEMPT FROM THE DEFINITION OF SUBDIVISION
RANGE 67WEST, TOWNSHIP 4 NORTH, SECTION 7
PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER (SEaSW4) :
WHEREAS, on May 5 , 1972 , the General Assembly
of the State of Colorado , enacted Senate Bill #35 as relates
to Chapter 106 of the Colorado Revised Statutes , and
WHEREAS, on August 30 , 1972 , the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado , adopted Subdivision
Regulations for Weld County, Colorado to comply with the
prescribed Senate Bill #35 , and
WHEREAS , the Weld County Planning Commission
has recommended to the Board of County Commissioners for
recording of plat number 1059-7-3-RE135 as provided in
Section 9 of the Subdivision Regulations (exemption rules and
regulations) for Weld County, Colorado .
Said division of land determined to be exempt
from the definition of subdivision is more particularly
described as follows :
That portion of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 7, Township 4 North, Range 67 West of the
6th P.M. , County of Weld, State of Colorado, more
particularly described as follows :
Considering the South line of said Southwest Quarter as
bearing North 89°51' 49" East with all bearings contained
herein relative thereto.
Beginning at the South Quarter Corner of said Section 7;
thence along the North-South Centerline of said Section,
North 2°40 ' 36" West, 218. 00 feet to the True Point of
Beginning; thence parallel with the South line of said South-
west Quarter South 89°51' 49 " West, 200 . 00 feet; thence
parallel with said Centerline South 2°40 ' 36" East, 218 .00
feet to the South line of said Southwest Quarter; thence
along said South line, South 89°51 ' 49" West, 990 .66 feet
to the Southwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of said
Southwest Quarter; thence along the West line of said
Southeast Quarter North 2°47' 28" West, 1, 328 . 52 feet to
the Northwest Corner of said Southeast Quarter; thence along
the North line of said Southeast Quarter South 89°56 ' 26"
East, 1, 193. 50 feet to the North-South Centerline of said
Section; thence along said Centerline, South 2°40 ' 36" East,
1, 106 . 32 feet more or less to the True Point of Beginning.
The above described Parcel is subject to a 30. 00 foot wide
reservation for County Roadway along the Southerly portions
thereof.
The above described Parcel contains a gross acreage of
35 . 26 Acres more or less.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the
Chairman be and he is hereby authorized to sign the plat of a
division of land determined to be exempt from the definition
of Subdivision No. 1059-7-3-RE135 , for recording.
The above and foregoing resolution was , on

GENERAL
The following report presents the results of a percolation study for part
of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 4
North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, located approxi-
mately two miles southwest of Johnstown, Colorado.
The purpose of this investigation was to determine the suitability of the
site for septic waste disposal by means of conventional leaching fields, and
to explore alternatives to conventional systems, if necessary. The con-
clusions and recommendations presented in this report are based upon analysis
of field and laboratory data and experience with similar soils in the general
vicinity.
FIELD INVESTIGATION
The field investigation consisted of one boring to determine the proximity
of bedrock or ground water and four borings taken to a depth of approxi-
mately 30 inches for the percolation study. All borings were advanced with
a 4 inch power auger.
A complete log of the boring operation is shown on the attached plate and
includes visual classification of each soil , location of soil changes and
water table measurements. Percolation tests were run during April , 1974.
Locations and results of the percolation tests are shown on the plate in-
cluded with this report.
LABORATORY TESTING
The laboratory testing program was undertaken to verify visual classification
of soils from the borings.
SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is nearly level , sloping slightly to the west. A county road
provides a topographic boundary on the south side of the site. There is an
existing house on the south edge of the site.

PERCOLATION STUDY
_ A total of three percolation tests were run on the site using the standard
test method as prescribed by the Weld County, Colorado Health Department
and outlined in the U.S. Public Health Service Manual No. 526. Location
and results of each test are shown on the plate included with this report.
The test results varied between 30 and 60 minutes per inch.
SUBSURFACE SOIL CONDITIONS
The subsurface soils encountered were considered to be fairly uniform con-
sisting of more than 10 feet of clay with varying sand and moisture content.
Ground water was encountered at 9 feet in the test boring at the time of this
investigation. Due to the location of the site and the nature of the soils
encountered, we would expect some seasonal fluctuation in water elevation.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The sandy clay encountered on the site is suitable for septic waste disposal
using conventional leaching fields or trenches. All construction should be
in strict conformance with applicable Weld County specifications.
The purpose of this report is to provide soil percolation information
only. This report is not intended for the design of foundations or streets
on the site.
The field investigation for this report was carried out under the direct
supervision of Mr. Al Carlson, who also prepared the draft of this report.
