MED EVAC EMERGENCY MEDICAL AIR TRANSPORT 40T" ANNIVERSARY

WHEREAS, the people of Weld County and northeastern Colorado enjoy the benefits of living
with plenty of open space and room to roam; and
WHEREAS, that expanse can be life -threatening when critical illnesses, accidents or injuries
occur and patients need to get to a hospital quickly; and
WHEREAS, Med Evac began operations in 1982 as AirLife of Greeley at North Colorado Medical
Center; and
WHEREAS, the emergency medical air transport program has grown from one helicopter in its
first year to three helicopters across the region and more than 30,000 missions flown without
incident; and
WHEREAS, Med Evac is committed to the delivery of safe, compassionate and clinically excellent
patient care, the education of first responders throughout our region, and to the values of Banner
Health.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that in
honor of the 40th anniversary of Med Evac providing life-saving emergency medical flight services
to the citizens of Weld County and beyond, the 13th day of August, 2022, be a day to honor the
pilots, nurses, EMTs, paramedics and families who support Med Evac.
