At the Planning Commission hearing we briefly discussed my desire to seek a variance for one of the conditions (1. B. 10) It is related to tracking control. I am not sure when, how and where to seek the variance. As I read the "Approved Tracking Control," it requires either 2 cattle guards and 100' of asphalt OR 300' of asphalt, providing an apron from the property onto WCR 43. I believe the intent is to prevent the tracking of debris... from the property onto WCR 43. The basis for my request is that all traveled roads within the property are currently, and will remain, well graded gravel roads. There are more than 350 yards of gravel road from the hard surface parking area before access to WCR 43. Although a collector road, the property is on the far north end of the road, less than 2 miles before it, itself, becomes a gravel road. The majority of the current access points in the area are either dirt farm access roads or gravel roads. We believe the proposed use and existing conditions satisfy the intent of the tracking control measures. Please advise when and how it is appropriate to address this request. It in no way indicates approval by the Board of County Commissioners; it simply allows staff a method of tracking any proposed changes to Conditions of Approval and Development Standards.
