HomeMy WebLinkAbout20223442.tiffRESOLUTION TO SET MILL LEVY A RESOLUTION LEVYING GENERAL PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE 2023 BUDGET YEAR TO HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS OF GOVERNMENT FOR THE PIONEER COMMUNITY LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY LOCATED IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO, WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, of Weld County, Colorado, ex -officio Pioneer Community Law Enforcement Authority Board has adopted the annual budget in accordance with the Local Government Budget Law, on December 12, 2022, and WHEREAS, the amount of money necessary to balance the budget or general operating expenses is $4,012, and WHEREAS, the 2022 valuation for assessment for the Pioneer Community Law Enforcement Authority District, as certified by the County Assessor is $573,090. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners, ex - officio Pioneer Community Law Enforcement Authority Board: Section 1. That, for the purpose of meeting all general operating expenses of the Pioneer Community Law Enforcement Authority District during the 2023 budget year, there is hereby levied a tax of 7.0 mills upon each dollar of the total valuation for assessment of all taxable property within the District for the year 2022. Section 2. That the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, serving as the Chair of the Pioneer Community Law Enforcement Authority Board, is hereby authorized and directed to immediately certify to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, the mill levy for the Pioneer Community Law Enforcement Authority District as hereinabove determined and set.
