Bid Package No. 2 consisted of furnishing only reinforcing steel for foundation walls for Phase I. We have reviewed and checked all bid proposals. The status of the bidders is as follows: 1. Rio Grande Company - $10,440.00 ✓ • 2. Hausman Corporation - $11,875.00 3. Dalco Engineering Company - $11,898.00 Our budget estimate for this Bid Package was $10,432.00. All of these figures are without sales tax. A telephone quotation was received from W & W Steel Company of Oklahoma City. This quotation was not in writing and also was not received at the stated bid time. As such, it was not in compliance with the bidding requirements. Thus the bid was not accepted. After our thorough review and consideration of the bid proposals, we recommend that a Purchase Order be awarded to Rio Grande Company for furnishing reinforcing steel for Bid Package No. 2. We are enclosing for your information copies of the proposals, our budget estimate sheet, and a proposal summary sheet. If you are in need of any additional information or have any questions concerning these pro- posals, we would be most happy to discuss them with you.
