SUBJECT: 2022 Concrete/Washed Rock/Squeegee, B2200073
The Public Works Department recommends that the Board of County Commissioners award the washed rock
and squeegee to J-2 Contracting for northern and southern Weld County at a price of $22.50 per ton for
washed rock and $8.25 per ton for squeegee. They are the overall low bidder for both products and the
washed rock and squeegee for both north and south county can be picked up from their Greeley plant.
The Public Works Department recommends the bid for all Class D, Class E and Flowfill for northern and
southern Weld County be awarded to Varra Companies. They are the low bidder based on estimated
quantities for 2022. The price for Exterior and Pumpable Class D is $148.00 per yard for northern and
southern county, $165.00 per yard for Class E for northern county, and $120.00 per yard for Flowfill for both
northern and southern county.
A total of $271,100.00 is budgeted for this purchase.
