I was under the impression someone from the club had reached out to pull our support but apparently that didn't happen. If it's not to late would like to remove our letter of support at this time. Thanks Randy Miller 2 Mariah Higgins From: Esther Gesick Sent: Wednesday, January 5, 2022 3:50 PM To: Mariah Higgins Cc: Chris Gathman; Jessica Reid; Chloe White Subject: FW: Docket #2022-02, PL2623 Hi Mariah, Please include the following email as a separate Addition to File, because it was received after the conclusion of the hearing. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. My name is William Betters, I spoke in reference to this meeting earlier today, but had to leave. I'm now live streaming it so to watch post lunch break. I just want to say that I find it appalling that this land owners group, keeps speaking about their property value, their tax value, and 1 Co MMu n ; co-+;onS 2022-0368 O1 /;ZLi .2 Z PL 2623 now the gentleman speaking complaining about "not having time to deal with it." In their own words, they proclaimed that it isn't a bunch of people it's impacting... it's only a few farms that have a large tax voice. This project has been going on for over TWO YEARS and now I'm hearing things from them talking about "why the sudden haste?"... "how many outreach meetings did you attend?"..."Zero". Why would we allow the profits of a few, to supersede the NEEDS, the potential SURVIVABILITY of THOUSANDS? I say profit, because that is all I have heard them land owner group discuss. "My property value, my tax value"..over and over. Well guess what...living in town, where your property has an easement, we don't have a choice when it comes to needing a chunk of our land. It just happens. Sorry, not sorry... it's gone. The good of the many heavily outweighs the few. ESPECIALLY when it comes to heating homes in subzero weather. Let these farmers lose their expensive equipment to the power SURGES that we incur. Or maybe their water troughs freeze because they lose power. I bet they would find greater value in it. I hate the idea of them losing value, losing money. ANYONE for that matter. But this is bigger than anyone's pocket book. Right now Joey Hawthorn is complaining about historical property. He is talking about it at a personal level, and discussing it like the whole property is being taken away. "I dont want it there." "It's the aesthetics of it." ARE YOU KIDDING?
