HomeMy WebLinkAbout20221942.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE PERMANENT CLOSURE OF COUNTY ROAD 33 AT U.S. HIGHWAY 85 ACCESS AND REGULATING, WARNING, AND GUIDING TRAFFIC REGARDING SUCH PERMANENT CLOSURE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, by Resolution #2022-0564, dated February 16, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners vacated a portion of County Road 33 within Union Pacific Railroad Right -of -Way, near or adjacent to U.S. Highway 85, and WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Public Works has received a request from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and determined that conditions now exist which make it necessary to permanently close County Road 33 at the U.S. Highway 85 Access to through traffic and regulate, warn, and guide vehicular traffic for the safety of the general public, and WHEREAS, the Board has determined said permanent closure is necessary for the protection of the general public.
