Home My WebLink About740569.tiff _ RESOLUTION WHEREAS, heretofore and on May 16, 1973, by Resolution, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, did authorize the execution of a contract and agreement with Livingston Construction Co. , Fort Collins, Colorado, to construct the Weld County Public Health Building and to pay therefor from Federal Sharing Revenue Funds, all pursuant to proper advertisement for bids in accordance with statutes for said purpose, and WHEREAS, it has now come to the attention of the Board that said construction of the aforementioned building is subject to AIA Document G701 concerning Change Order Nos. 1, 3 and 4, with reference made to Architect's Project No. 73-1-CCA-0118 concerning complete con- struction work and reference made to contract date of September 17, 1973, copies attached hereto for ready reference, and WHEREAS, in order to be in compliance with the Federal Law, the Board believes it to be in the best interest of the County to incorporate the aforementioned Change Order Nos. 1, 3 and 4 within the contract and agreement previously entered into with Livingston Construction Co. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that Change Order Nos. 1, 3 and 4 hereinabove mentioned and made a part hereof by reference, be and the same hereby are ordered to be made a part of the contract and agreement heretofore mentioned and entered into between Weld County and Livingston Construction Co. for the erection of the Weld County Public Health Building. Tri-State Steel Co. placed their order uith the mill September 28th, 1973. Delivery was promised approximately December 15, 1973 . The delivery time has been set hack and now it is apparent that we will not receive them prior to January 181 19Th. An attempt has been made to keep some work underway on the project, however, this has not been in the best interests of the project. At this time, we feel the construction time will be delayed 30 days. In view of the fact that the Specifications state we will be charged $50.00 per day for Architectural costs after October 1, 19711, we request an extension of construction time in the amount of 30 days.
