RE: Participation on Poudre Heritage Alliance Board of Directors
Dear Ms. Stoker:
Since the beginning of the Poudre Heritage Alliance ("the Alliance"), Weld County has provided
one of its County Commissioners as a member of the Alliance Board of Directors. The reason for
such participation was to assist the Alliance in starting as an organization.
Although the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County ("the Board") believes in the
Alliance's mission, because of the ever increasing time commitments for each Weld County
Commissioner, the Board feels it no longer may offer one of its members to be on the Alliance
Board of Directors. The Board notes that the Bylaws of the Alliance Board of Directors calls for
a member from Weld County, but does not require that member be a Weld County Commissioner
or otherwise be someone associated with Weld County Government.
I have copied Weld County Commissioner Perry Buck on this letter. She and I have discussed the
matter and we respectfully request that you consider this letter as her resignation from the Alliance
Board of Directors.
The Board wishes the Alliance the best going forward. We ask if you are so inclined to come to a
Board work session periodically to update us on how things are going for the Alliance, please
contact Ms. Karla Ford, Executive Assistant and Office Manager, at kford@weldgov.com to
schedule a work session with the Board.
