Call to order
John Leone, President of the West Greeley Conservation District, called to order
the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the West Greeley Conservation District
Board of Supervisors at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020. The meeting was held
at West Greeley Conservation District in the USDA Service Center at 4302 W 9th
Street Rd, Greeley, CO 80634

NEW BUSINESS and REQUESTS FOR FUNDS
1. Petition into the District: Simpson moved to approve the Petition from L.
Holloway from Ault, CO. Beloin seconded. Motion carried.

3. CACD Annual Dues: L. Simpson moved to approve $1200 for the annual dues.

4. USPWSA Dues ($50): Item died for lack of motion. Consideration will be
tabled until a later time.
5. Scholarship Deadline is March 20, 2020
6. Crossroads Insurance Annual Premium: A. Beloin moved to approve the
payment for $27,394. L. Simpson seconded. Motion carried.
7. New Laptop for L. Hall: L. Simpson moved to approve $2300 toward the
purchase of a new laptop. A. Beloin seconded the motion. Motion carried.
8. Cancelation of Election: A. Beloin moved to cancel the election. T. Becker
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
9. Boys and Girls Club Discussion: Issues regarding trash and other debris being
thrown over the fences; incident regarding B&G Club Director; maintaining a
lock to the adjoining gates to Houston Garden. J. Leone will contact B&G Club
Board of Directors.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Growling Bear Design and follow up meetings with designs
2. CPW Walk In Hunting Access Program: Partnership opportunity died for lack
of motion
3. Lateral Ditch Cost Share: Sponaugle Board is in favor of up to $20,000 for the
first phase of plan based upon a preliminary design and engineered drawings as
well as a second bid. At this point there is no interest in the second phase of
operation due to lack of relationship to conservation. L. Schneider will inform
R. Sponaugle of Board request.
4. Tree Sale Pick up: Last day for orders is March 31, 2020 ** Pickup dates
are April 29-30; May 1

5. Symposium Preparations: L. Hall updated the Board for plans and contacts of
various speakers. Tentatively looking at Island Grove in early November 2020
6. Bee Wise Camps for Spring Break of 2020
