Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment Second Floor Hearing Room 210 & via Microsoft Teams The Weld County Board of Health met on February 22, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor hearing room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via Microsoft Teams. Those present included: Board Members: Nicholas Berryman, Bree Lukens, Anthony Gallardo, Tim Annable and Linda Kautz. Others: Holly Smith Public Health Administration, Dani Serna, Environmental Health, Lauren Light Environmental Health, and Katie Sall Environmental Health. From the public we had Michael Goetzel. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The meeting was called to order at 9:15 AM. A motion was made by Linda Kautz to approve the agenda. Tim Annable seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The board approved the minutes of the November 23, 2021 meeting and also January 25, 2022. A motion was made to approve by Tim Annable and Bree Lukens seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT: Holly Smith Public Health Administration Manager Holly updated everyone on the 2022 Strategic Plan Work Plan. We emailed the presentation to all of the Board of Health members. Variance Request: SP -2100441- Request to reduce setbacks from absorption area to residence and on -site well. Results was to move septic system 20 feet from the house foundation and the well to be less than 100 feet. It was recommended by the Board of Health that the water be tested yearly. A motion was made by Tim Annable to approve the 2 new biosolids. Linda Kautz seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously with the following conditions: 1. If Weld County or privately owned and maintained roads are damaged beyond normal wear and tear by the biosolids hauling equipment of the applicant or the applicants contractor, the applicant will repair the road damage to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department and the private road owners and maintenance providers. The Public Works Department will be the one to determine when this is warranted. 2. Upon notification by Weld County, the applicant will cease hauling operations, or direct his contractor to cease hauling operations, until the roads are repaired to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department and the private road owners and maintenance providers. Hauling operations will not be allowed to resume until the condition of the road allows heavy hauling without damage being done to the roads. 3. The applicant will be allowed to apply to frozen or snow cover ground within the requirements of CDH Biosolids Regulation 64.15F and provide the generators to meet the Vector Attraction Reduction requirements of 64.12C. Biosolids Renewal: Denali Water Solutions — Katie Sall presented 17 biosolid renewal applications. No public comment or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval. Linda Kautz seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
