As Brannan's proposed aggregate operation on Highway 66 comes closer to fruition, our company would like to reiterate its desire to be a good neighbor and responsible corporate citizen. Brannan and the Town of Platteville stand to have a long and mutually beneficial relationship. We are aware of the Town's concerns about traffic due to our project. Provided that current plans to revise the Nix permit are approved and the Town agrees to account for the proposed traffic level (as submitted for the Town's review in recent referrals from Weld County) as part of the new background traffic level in future referrals and official actions, with this letter Brannan agrees to commit up to $200,000 to the study of improvements Colorado Highway 66 and any intersecting roads. Alongside the Town, it is Brannan's goal to move the Town substantially closer to a "shovel -ready" project that will accommodate both current and future traffic on Highway 66. Brannan expects that we will take additional steps with the Town as you receive proposals for the study, as well as updates on the finalization of Brannan permits and implementation schedule for activities at the Nix site.
