Brief description of the problem/issue: Ward Energy Solutions provides site maintenance for the CNG site
which fuels Weld County vehicles.
The BOCC signed the original agreement with Ward Energy in May of 2019 (agreement No. 20191813) that
includes a clause to extend the original agreement for additional 365 -day periods, the last which will begin May
24, 2022, and end on May 23, 2023. There are no changes to the original agreement and pricing, all other terms
and conditions remain unchanged.
What options exist for the Board? (Include consequences, impacts, costs, etc. of options): The Weld
County Fleet Services Department is required to provide CNG fuel for the county CNG vehicle fleet. Ward
Energy provides maintenance and service to the Weld County CNG fuel site. With this agreement extension
there is no price increase.
Recommendation: Weld County Fleet Services recommends that the BOCC approves the extension agreement
for the additional term.

THE WELD COUNTY DEPARMENT OF FLEET SERVICES
AND WARD ENERGY SOLUTIONS LLC
This Agreement Extension/Renewal ("Extension"), made and entered into ( I +h

Board of Weld County Commissioners, on behalf of the Weld County Department of Fleet Services; hereinafter referred to as the
"Department", and WARD ENERGY hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor".
WHEREAS the parties entered into an agreement (the "Original Agreement") identified by the County Clerk to the Board of
County Commissioners ag document No 20191813, approved on 5/24/2019.
WHEREAS the parties hereby agree to extend the term of the Original Agreement in accordance with the terms of the Original
Agreement, which is incorporated by reference herein, as well as the terms provided herein.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto covenant and agree as follows:
• The Original Agreement will end on May 24, 2022.
The parties agree to extend the Original Agreement for an additional 365 -day period, which will begin May 24, 2022, and will
end on May 23, 2023.
• The Renewal, together with the Original Agreement, constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. The following
change is hereby made to the Contract Documents There is no change to original bid pricing at any of the sites
1. The contract is extended for the first of three possible extensions.
e All other terms and conditions of the Original Agreement remain unchanged*

SUBJECT: Contract Extension
Ward Energy Solutions LLC. provides CNG fuel sites maintenance and service to the
Weld County CNG site which fuel Weld County vehicles.
The BOCC signed the original agreement with Ward Energy in May of 2019 (agreement

The attached agreement extension between the Weld Board of County Commissioners
and Ward Energy on behalf of the Weld County Fleet Services Department, provides
CNG fuel Site Maintenance from May24, 2020 through May 23, 2021. With this
agreement extension there is no price increase.
Weld County Fleet Service recommends that the board approve the agreement for the
additional term.

The Fleet Services Department recommends awarding the bid to for CNG fuel site
maintenance to Ward Energy, as they are the lowest bidder that meets all specifications. The
bid is for an annual cost of basic service of $6500.00. The non -basic maintenance cost for time
is $85.00 pre -hour and a $20.00 trip charge. The percentage of Parts and supplies markup will
not exceed 12 percent.
