RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO PARKING AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO
SIGN - CITY OF GREELEY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Parking Agreement
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Facilities Department, and the City of Greeley,
commencing upon full execution of signatures, with further terms and conditions being as stated
in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Parking Agreement between the County of
Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on
behalf of the Facilities Department, and the City of Greeley, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 23rd day of February, A.D., 2022.

Subject: Amendment to Parking Agreement with City of Greeley (2016-1333)
Weld County entered into a parking agreement for the parking lots adjacent to 822 7th Street with the
City of Greeley on April 18, 2016 (2016-1333). It has become desirable to amend this agreement to
allow the City of Greeley to patrol these parking lots for compliance with the parking requirements and
cite violators, as necessary. The City of Greeley would retain all fines associated with enforcement. The
Facilities Department is recommending approval of this amendment to the agreement

AMENDMENT TO PARKING AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT TO PARKING AGREEMENT is made this I day of February 2022,
by and between WELD COUNTY, COLORADO, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, whose address is P.O. Box 758, 1150 O Street,
Greeley, Colorado 80632, hereinafter referred to as "County," and the CITY OF GREELEY,
COLORADO, by and through its City Council, whose address is 1000 1 Street, Greeley,
Colorado 80631, hereinafter referred to as "City."
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, County and City entered into a Parking Agreement on April 18, 2016, for
the purpose of providing parking permits for County employee use in certain parking lots in
downtown Greeley and to allow free public parking in certain parking lots owned by County in
downtown Greeley during other than County normal business hours, and
WHEREAS, County and City now desire to amend the Parking Agreement to allow for
daytime parking enforcement within the parking lots adjacent to 822 7th Street that are owned
and requested by the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants contained herein and the
agreements to be performed hereunder, County and City amend their Parking Agreement as
follows:
Add a new Paragraph 12, to state as follows:
12. City shall provide routine daytime parking enforcement within the County owned
parking lots requested by County staff adjacent to 822 7th Street, Greeley, Colorado.
The term "routine daytime parking enforcement" shall include such parking
enforcement procedures and protocols normally followed by City personnel,
including, but not limited to, violations of parking permit requirements, violation of
handicap parking, and towing of violating vehicles, if necessary. County agrees to
require all employees assigned to parking lots where the City has been asked by the
County to enforce to register themselves via the on-line system offered by the City.
The City will retain all fines associated to enforcement.
All remaining paragraphs of the Parking Agreement shall remain the same.
