Re: CO 52 Planning & Environmental Linkages Study (PEL) Letter of Support
Dear Director Paddock,
On May 18, 2022, the Weld County Board of County Commissioners unanimously supported a Resolution
adopting the SH 52 Access Control Plan, which also refers to the SH 52 Planning & Environmental
Linkages (PEL) Study as a vision, right of way preservation, and parallel planning effort for the corridor
extending from SH 119 to SH 79.
Weld County recognizes the importance of the SH 52 PEL document, especially with the amount of future
population and vehicular growth anticipated along this corridor. The county appreciates the SH 52 PEL
partnership with CDOT and the local governments to plan for future transportation improvements to
increase safety, accommodate increased travel, freight demand, and multi -modal connections.
Weld County is happy to support the CO 52 PEL study.
