B "-�Undersheriff, Costilla County Sheriff's Office Co tAKL) n, Co\ol1S cc:AcT(e-P/ca) 2o2( -339'; a2/oq /22 O104/22 pU oo 23 RESOLUTION RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, AUTHORIZE SALE OF SAME TO COSTILLA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE, AND DELEGATE AUTHORITY TO CONTROLLER TO SIGN ANY NECESSARY DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, further described as a 2016 Ford Taurus (VIN: 1 FAHP2MT2GG119383) equipped as a patrol vehicle, being more fully described in said proposal, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is no longer required for County use, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a proposal from the Costilla County Sheriff's Office, to buy said equipment for and in consideration of the sum of $2,500.00, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and approve said proposal, and delegate authority to the Weld County Controller to sign any necessary documents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby is, declared surplus. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the proposal for the Costilla County Sheriff's Office to purchase of said equipment, in the amount of $2,500.00, be, and hereby is, approved. As a condition of the purchase the car will never be sold for more than we purchased it for, and if/when they are sold all law enforcement equipment will be stripped from the vehicle unless the car is sold/donated to another law enforcement agency.
