RESOLUTION •
WHEREAS, by Conservator's Deed recorded February 29, 1952, in
Book 1325, Page 177, of the Weld County Records, Frank James Wells and
Katherine Wells, as the Conservators of the Estate of Frances Wells,
Mental incompetent, conveyed to Weld County, Colorado, 2. 806 acres,
more or less, for county road purposes, and
WHEREAS, it has been requested that the said County of Weld,
State of Colorado, quitclaim, for good and valuable consideration, all right,
title and interest it may have in and to the oil, gas and other minerals
contained thereunder in the hereinafter described property, and
WHEREAS, the said Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, is of the opinion that Weld County does not have any interest in
the minerals contained thereunder in the hereinafter described property,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, is of the opinion that it is in the best interest of the County to
relinquish and quitclaim these minerals to the present contiguous land-
owners thereby placing the same on the County tax rolls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, for good and valuable consider-
ation, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents,
agree to remise, release and forever quitclaim to Cactus Hill Ranch Company,
all of its right, title and interest, in and to the oil, gas and other minerals
underlying the following described property, to-wit:
Township 7 North, Range 67 West, 6th P. M.
Section 17: Beginning at the Northeast corner
of said Section 17, Township 7 North, Range
67 West, thence South 0° 21 ' West along the
East line of said Section 17 a distance of
100. 0 feet, thence West a distance of 39. 2
feet, thence North 58° 40' West a distance
of 76. 9 feet, thence North 88° 05' 30" West
a distance of 600. 3 feet, thence West a distance
of 1863. 9 feet, thence North 12° 52' West a
distance of 47. 6 feet to a point on the North
line of said Section 17, thence South 89° 51 '
30" East along the North line of said Section 17
a distance of 2580. 0 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 5th day of May, 1971.
