The Weld County Board of Health met on August 23, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor hearing
room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via Microsoft Teams.
Those present included:
Board Members: Tom Cope, Doug Printz, Jeff Reck, Linda Kautz, and Bree Lukens.
Others: Lauren Light Environmental Health, and Valerie Smith Communicable Disease Program
Manager. Also present were Tanya Geiser Finance Director and Gene O'Hara Interim Health
Director.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The meeting was called to order at 9:05 AM. A motion was made by Bree Lukens to approve the
agenda. Doug Printz seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The board approved the minutes of the July 26, 2022, meeting. A motion was made to approve by
Doug Printz and Bree Lukens seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
Biosolids Renewal:
Denali Water Solutions — Lauren Light presented 13 biosolid renewal applications. No public
comment or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval.
DS -200209, DS -200502, DS -200545, DS -200627, DS -200637, DS -200652, DS -200710, DS -200835,
DS -200840, DS -200841, DS -201107, DS -1700010 and DS -1800009.
A motion was made by Tom Cope to approval the renewals. Doug Printz seconded the motion and
the motion was carried unanimously.

What is Monkey -pox- famous relatives- Cowpox and smallpox
From 1970-2019 first started in Africa -
Monkey -pox has an incubation period of 3-21 days
2022 — 94 Countries/locations- 41,358 cases and 12 deaths (through Aug 14)
Colorado has 18 counties and 182 cases (through Aug 14)
