RE: AUTHORIZE EXTENSION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE COVERING CERTAIN
PROPERTY OWNED BY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO - SECTION 29,
TOWNSHIP 5 NORTH, RANGE 65 WEST
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County is the owner of vast mineral lands located in Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, PDC Energy, Inc. submitted a request to extend the lease of 0.6657 net
mineral acres, more or less, described to -wit:
Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 21 of Block 20, Evans; Lots 25 and
26 of Block 10, Evans; and Lot 10 of Block 13,
Evans; all being part of the NW1/4 of Section 29,
Township 5 North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M.,
Weld County, Colorado
WHEREAS, Weld County desires to approve the request submitted by PDC Energy, Inc.,
to extend the lease on the above -described mineral acreage for $400.00 per net mineral acre, for
a total sum of $266.28, together with a rental fee of two dollars and 50/100 ($2.50) per net mineral
acre, which is to run for a period of six (6) months, commencing at twelve o'clock noon on June 29,
2022, and ending at twelve o'clock noon on December 29, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request submitted by PDC Energy, Inc., to extend the lease on the
above -described mineral acreage for 400.00 per net mineral acre, for a total sum of $266.28,
together with a rental fee of two dollars and 50/100 ($2.50) per net mineral acre, which is to run
for a period of six (6) months, commencing at twelve o'clock noon on June 29, 2022, and ending
at twelve o'clock noon on December 29, 2022, be, and hereby is, granted and approved.

PDC would like to request an extension to this lease pursuant to the terms of the lease dated May 4, 2017
between Weld Countym Colorado and Aztec Exploration, LLC are Reception No. 4304660. PDC Energy,
Inc. as successor to Aztec Exploration, LLC, is requesting the additional six month extension effective June
29, 2022. Enclosed please fmd the check for the amount due for the extension of the lease.
