RE: APPROVE PURCHASE ORDER FOR USED VEHICLE FOR USE BY DEPARTMENT
OF HUMAN SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR AND CONTROLLER TO SIGN ANY
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS - LOVELAND FORD -LINCOLN, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Purchase Order for a Used Vehicle,
described as a 2020 Ford Transit T-350 Passenger Van, Vehicle Identification Number
1FBAX2Y86LKA26346, for $54,185.67, between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of
Human Services, and Loveland Ford -Lincoln, Inc., to purchase said vehicle, and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Fleet Services inspected the vehicle and
found it to be in good condition, and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Human Services concurs the vehicle will
meet the needs of the department without purchasing a new vehicle, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Administration has advised the Board there is
available Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Funding through the Department of
Human Services, which must be expended by June 30, 2022, to purchase the vehicle, and
WHEREAS, the purchase of the used vehicle is consistent with the used equipment
procurement plan found in Section 5-4-50.C of the Weld County Code, which is an exception of
the vehicle purchase requirement under Section 5-4-60, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said purchase order, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, for the purchase of a 2020
Ford Transit T-350 Passenger Van, Vehicle Identification Number 1 FBAX2Y86LKA26346, for
$54,185.67, from Loveland Ford -Lincoln, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Purchase Order for a Used Vehicle, described as a 2020 Ford
Transit T-350 Passenger Van, Vehicle Identification Number 1 FBAX2Y86LKA26346, for
$54,185.67, between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Loveland
Ford -Lincoln, Inc., be, and hereby is, approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized

of Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado.

SUBJECT: Used 2020 Ford Transit T350 Passenger Van
The Department of Human Services has TANF Block Grant Funds that need to be
expended by June 30th, 2022. The Human Services Department asked the Fleet Services
Department to find replacement vans for two (2) "end of life" vans in the Youth Corp fleet. Due
to supply chain and timing issues, the Director of Finance and Administration along with the
Director of Fleet Services agreed to procure the used equipment.
Fleet Services has located one used 2020 Ford Transit T350 Passenger Van at Loveland
Ford Lincoln Inc for $54,185.67. Fleet Services has reviewed this vehicle and recommends its
purchase per Section 5-4-50(c) of the Weld County Code.

Purpose of Form
