Township 1 North, Range 63 West, • Respectfully submit the following report, to-wit: After receiving our authority to act, we met at the starting point of said proposed road, on the 23rd day of March-.----- - .._ -1.91'7 _. at the hour of 11 o'clock_.A=.M., being the time and place specified in our appointment, and proceeded to view the road prayed for in said petition, as follows: We commenced at the starting point named in said petition, and run The Northeast corner of section 28, Township 2 North, Range 63 West; thence South to Adams County line; thence West from Northeast corner of section 27, Township 1 North, Range 63 West to the Northeast corner of section 30, Township 1 North, Range 63 West; thence North from the North- east corner of section 29, Township 1 North, Range 63 West to the North- east corner of section 5, Township 1 North, Range 63 West the last named point being the terminus thereof, and the road as above laid out and viewed being over the most practicable route which we, in our judgment, can find. We found it necessary to make the following changes in the proposed route as prayed for, viz: We the viewers herein recommend that the line of road herein described be granted, being the same as peti- tioned for. We further recommend that the ditch now constructed along the section line between sections 9 and 10, Township 1 North, Range 63 West, be moved to one side of the road for the purpose of avoiding any vari- ation from the section line for the laying out of the road herein re- commended. /! Lbought- ghat it „as best to recommend that the ditch now constructed in a part of the road viewed, be moved to one side of the road rather thannmake a jog in the road in order to avoid the ditch. The viewers also agreed that '-`-15.00 per acre should be allowed to ir. D. fl. Shewey for land taken for road purposes, particularly as the road divides some of his land. It is the contention of 5r. Shewey that ho is assessed with the irrigation district taxes on the land taken for road purposes and that ho should be paid for land for road purposes for that reason. It is the rule of the County Assessor to deduct all rights of way for whetover purpose when mating his assessment, therefore it does not aprear that .r.
