MINUTES
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
A regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was held on
Wednesday, April 5, 1972, at the hour of 10:00 A. M. The following members
were present:
Glenn K. Billings, Harry S. Ashley, Marshall H. Anderson
County Attorney
County Clerk
Chief Accounting Officer
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
The following claims were presented:
County General Fund $22,845.98
Road & Bridge Fund 17,388.56
A motion was made and seconded to allow said claims. Motion carried.
The following welfare claims were presented:
OAP 667.00
ADM 76,900.46
ADC 1,925.00
AND 296.00
A motion was made and seconded to allow said welfare claims. Motion
carried.
BIDS:
On motion it was moved and seconded to accept the bid (#024-72) for
chemicals for the Weld County Extension Service as submitted by Selco Supply
Company. Motion carried.
The bid for the sale of the Hot Plant (2300) was tabled until next
week.
The Board requested Mr. Buss to prepare a statement of cost comparison
figures for the renting or the purchasing of cars for the Sheriff's Department,
before they take any action on the bid submitted by the Greeley Leasing Company.
APPOINTMENTS: The appointments stand as listed on the agenda.
HEARINGS : The hearings stand as listed.
REPORTS: The reports are as listed and were ordered filed.
COMMUNICATIONS: The Board stated that at this time they would not request
a portion of State Highway #85 located at Pierce, Colorado, (State Resolution
#386-D - Project # F085-3 (1) ) . The portion that the County would be interested
in is located on the section line and would revert to the County. The other portions

would revert to the landowner o� record.
& A TURKEY FARM: The Board stated that they had visually inspected the location
of the P & A Turkey Farm and saw no objections to the location - that it was
compatab':le to the surrounding area. It was moved and seconded to grant said
Land Use Permit. Notion carried. The County Attorney was instructed to draw the
proper resolution.
