WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT MONTH
SEPTEMBER 2022
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners wishes to reaffirm its support to
Employment Services of Weld County, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, and
the Colorado Workforce Development Council, educators, businesses, and economic developers
in workforce growth efforts; and
WHEREAS, Employment Services of Weld County provides job seekers with resources, services,
employment, and training opportunities to reenter the workforce; and
WHEREAS, staff collaborates with local employers to ensure access to quality education and
training for in -demand occupations, adequately preparing the future of the workforce; and
WHEREAS, Employment Services of Weld County works with regional partners to align
objectives and leverage resources to address systemic barriers to employment; and
WHEREAS, the expertise, leadership, and innovation of certified workforce development
professionals and the Weld County Workforce Development Board strengthen the economy for
business and the economic advancement of labor force participants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that
September be known as Workforce Development Month.
