WELD COUNTY COUNCIL
June 20, 2022
The Weld County Council met in regular session in full conformity with the Weld County Home
Rule Charter at 6:30 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2022, at the Weld County Administration Building,
1150 0 Street, Greeley, CO.
ROLL CALL:
The meeting was called to order by President Nancy Teksten. Councilmembers Tonya L.
Van Beber, Cindy Beemer and James Welch were present, constituting a quorum of members.
Councilmember Rupert Parchment had an excused absence. Also present was Council
Secretary Linda Kane.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA :
Councilmember Beemer made a motion to approve the agenda, as modified to include
discussion about the 2023 budget, it was seconded by Councilmember Welch and carried.
APPROVAL OF DOCUMENTATION:
Approval of May 16, 2022, Minutes
Councilmember Welch made a motion to approve the May minutes, it was seconded by
Councilmember Van, and the motion carried.
REVIEW PROGRAM:
There was no review program.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
There was no public comment.
NEW BUSINESS:
There were none.
Coordinator Reports/Councilman Reports
Bills
Councilmember Van Beber made a motion to approve bills, it was seconded by Councilmember
Beemer and carried. The bills were paid as follows:
o Weld County Phone Bill for May $25.00
2023 Budget
Councilmember Beemer made a motion to approve the 2023 budget as presented, with an
increase from $500 to $2,500 for advertising, it was seconded by Councilmember Welch and
carried.

Tour of county jail
Councilmembers, Secretary Kane and Councilmember Van Beber's husband went on a tour of
the jail. They toured the new addition and received basic information which can also be found
at: https://www.weidsheriff.com/Divisions/Jail
No business items were discussed and no motions were made while on the tour.
OLD BUSINESS:
There was no old business.

By acclamation, the meeting was adjourned at 7:59 p.m.
