Home My WebLink About20222389.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE CHANGE LETTER AMENDMENT #5 TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR DISASTER RECOVERY NATIONAL DISLOCATED WORKER GRANT (CORESPONDS) AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - JEFFERSON COUNTY WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with Change Letter Amendment #5 to the Memorandum of Understanding for the Disaster Recovery National Dislocated Worker Grant (COResponds) between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Jefferson County, commencing upon full execution of signatures, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said change letter amendment, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said change letter amendment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Change Letter Amendment #5 to the Memorandum of Understanding for the Disaster Recovery National Dislocated Worker Grant (COResponds) between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Jefferson County, be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said change letter amendment. Request Board Approval of the Department's Change Letter #5 with Jefferson County for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) Recovery Grant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). In 2020, the Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jefferson County to establish an agreement between the parties conceming respective roles and responsibilities for implementation of the Recovery Grant awarded by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), which includes two sub -awards: one for RecoverCO and the other for COResponds. This MOO is identified as Tyler ID 2020-3484. The following Change Letters have since been issued: Change Letter #1 was issued in January 2021 for additional funding to the RecoverCO funds in the amount of $48,818.66 identified as Tyler ID 2021-0371. Change Letter #2 was issued in July 2021 to reduce the amount of COResponds funds by $81,497.68, resulting in a new subaward total of $207,742.62 identified as Tyler ID 2021- 2196. Change Letter #3 was issued in March 2022 to amend the original MOU to extend the period of performance through August 31, 2022 identified as Tyler ID 2022-0699 Change Letter #4 was issued in April of 2022 to amend the original MOU to reduce the amount of COResponds funds by $81,000.00, resulting in a new subaward total of $126,742.62 identified as Tyler ID 2022-1202. Jefferson County has now issued Change Letter #5 to amend the original MOU to reduce the amount of RecoverCO funds by $50,000.00, resulting in a new subaward total of $287,070.39. This reduction is due to a reallocation of unused funds before the expiration date of August 2022. All other terms and provisions of the MOU remain the same.
