On May 6, 2022, Great Western Operating Company, LLC ("GWOC") was acquired by PDC Energy, Inc.
("PDC") and now all GWOC assets are owned and operated by PDC. Until the accounting transition can be
fully implemented, it is PDC's intent that you will continue to receive revenue distributions labeled as
GWOC without any material changes in the timing or format of your distributions up to and including the
August 2022 royalty distribution.
Over the coming months while PDC is working towards the accounting transition, multiple communications
will be sent that will assist in preparing for the PDC royalty payment transition which is scheduled to occur
for September 2022 payments.
These communications will address the following topics:
PDC's ACH registration process and instructions on the steps required to register to receive
electronic payments and statements
• The oil royalty valuation methodology that PDC employs for oil royalty settlements
• PDC's existing relevant policies and procedures related to the royalty payment timing
• What to expect for the 1099's and DR21W's related to royalty payments received in the
calendar year 2022
