Hunt Farms
• Hunt Farms is a long standing member of Weld County and the
Platteville Business Community.
• Hunt Farms plans to extract material from the WCR 40 Soil
Mine for use in Weld County at various oil and gas reclamation
sites.
• Final use is agricultural.
Project Description
• The Site is located in the east of of US 85 along Weld County
Road 40 (WCR 40) in unincorporated Weld County.
• Mine ^'80 Acre site adjacent to WCR 40 small 10 acre- site
phases.
• Extract "400,000 tons of overburden. Max truck trips 60
round trips per day (10 hour day).
• Reclaim the site for cropland and agricultural use.

Transportation Plan
Interim: (during the upgrade of the intersection of CR 40 and US 85):
- Haul Routes
• CR 40 East to CR 31 South (15 round trips per day)
• CR 40 East to CR 33 North to CR 42 East (25 round trips per day)
• CR 40 West to US 85 North (9 round trips per day, CDOT has already granted this
access)
Final: (Subsequent to the upgrade of the intersection of CR 40 and US 85 and for the
remaining life of the mine)
- Haul Routes (60 round trips per day)
• CR 40 East to CR 31 South (10 round trips per day - ^"20✓ of the trips leaving the
mine)
• CR 40 West to US 85 (50 round trips per day ^'80% of the trips leaving the mine)
Maintenance: During the life of the mine, maintenance would include the application
of mag chloride to CR 40 from US 85 to CR 33 (Interim) and to CR 31 (Final)

• Mine 100,000 to 150,000 tons/year.
• Mine in ^'10 acre or less sections if market conditions
demand. Mining of overburden only approximately 2 -
feet below grade.
• Material will be unwashed and unscreened material.
