My only concern is how is David going to be able to purchase these vehicles without a requisition and purchase order? I spoke to Chris about this and since we won't be sending David to the dealership with a blank check, the dealership would have to be okay with invoicing us for the purchase. I am uncertain how this works so I have copied David on this message. Chris indicated we could cut a check to the dealership within 24 hours, will this work? 4 Surely, the vendor could hold the vehicle for 24 hours until the check was received. Assets cannot be purchased on p -cards but they can be purchased with a check so this would be our best option. Another option would be to provide David with a purchase order # to provide the dealer when he is ready to make the purchase; however, this would mean this item would have to be removed from Sec. 5-4-80. and I don't think we want to do that. Another concern would be for grant purchases, but we don't seem to have very many of them.
