We are going to do a corrected resolution and have Brenda present it to the Board on December 19 with all of her other abatements. I do not think this requires us to notify the taxpayer or do a full abatement hearing again. This was an administrative mistake that doesn't affect value or the amount the taxpayer paid, so we just need to correct the record and send the updated information to the state. Thanks. This entire process has been rushed because of the closing business and we just learned that the original tax amount was incorrect on the form. It is no surprise because the appraisers were working on it on the spot with the taxpayer watching but I should have double-checked. Now the Division of Property Tax won't approve it because the resolution included the abated tax and it is wrong. Is it possible to get an amended resolution without a hearing or will we need to have another hearing? We have attached two versions of the corrected abatement. One has the mistakes stricken and corrected. The other is edited so you cannot see the mistakes. Would you please take a look at both and then let me know how to best proceed.
