BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF WELD STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Weld County through its duly elected Board of Commissioners has read H. B. 1041 as enacted by the 1974 General Assembly of the State of Colorado; and WHEREAS, Board of Commissioners desires to comply and implement as expeditiously as possible the purpose expressed in 106-7-101 (2)(b), C.R. S. 1963, as amended; and WHEREAS, H. B. 1041 contemplates certain actions by Weld County and appropriate State agencies, and provides funds to carry out some or all of these actions: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. Weld County by and through its Board of Commissioners wishes to designate matters of state interest as set forth in H. B. 1041 , Part 2, as expeditiously as possible and to follow the procedures set forth in H. B. 1041 , Part 4. 2. Weld County hereby requests of the Colorado Land Use Commission its applicable guidelines for designation, as described in h06-7-401 (1)(b). 3. Weld County hereby requests of the Colorado Water Conservation Board its model flood plain regulation and guidelines; of the Colorado State Forest Service its model wildfire hazard area control regulation and guidelines; and the Colorado Geological Survy its model geologic hazard area control regulation and guidelines, as set forth ins 106-7-202 (2), together with any such natural hazard areas already identified by such agencies within Weld County. 4. Weld County hereby requests of the Colorado State Historical Society and the Colorado Department of Natural Resources the areas they have determined contain and have a significant impact upon historical, natural, or archaeological resources of statewide importance within Weld County and their guidelines for the administration of the same. 5. Weld County hereby requests of the Colorado State Highway Department, the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, and the Colorado Department of Local Affairs any information these departments might have relating to the designation of mineral resource areas and areas around key facilities, as well as activities of State interest including but not limited to arterial highways and interchanges and collector highways; major domestic water and sewage treatment systems and extensions thereto; solid waste disposal sites; major facilities of public utilities; new 740612 .1 f l/c %i-©ykr communities; utilization of municipal and industrial water projects; and nuclear detonations that may now or in the near future be or take place within Weld County. 6. Weld County hereby specifically requests of the appropriate state agencies, as set forth in 3106-7-302 (1) and (2) designation of and guidelines for matters of state interest within Weld County. 7. Weld County shall, upon request of any municipality within Weld County, assist such municipality in its identification and desig- nation program. Dated this 29th day of May , 1974.
