RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC ON COUNTY
ROADS AND AT COUNTY ROAD INTERSECTIONS IN WELD
COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, heretofore and on April 6th , 1973, the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, by resolution did
declare and establish certain streets not to be through streets, all as
shown on plat as submitted at that time, and
WHEREAS, now the County Traffic Engineer has submitted as
amendment to the hereinabove resolution and traffic plat as previously
adopted, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that it would be in the
best interest of the County to amend previous resolution and plat in
accordance with new plat as submitted by the County Traffic Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, and it hereby does declare
and establish the following not to be a through street or highway for the
named portions of county roads which shall become effective when a
standard stop sign is erected at the entrance thereto;
1. Private road of Greeley Sand & Gravel Company, where it
intersects with County Road No. 35. (North 25th Avenue) and with
County Road No. 62+ (F Street) and with C Street Northwest, all as
shown on plat as submitted by the County Traffic Engineer and made a
part hereof by reference.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of
July, A. D. , 1974.

Location: Intersection of North 25th Avenue of County Road #35 , F Street and
C Street N.W.
Complaints: See attached State Patrol Incident Report
Action Taken: Previously the above streets were made to be a full stop at this point.
Greeley Sand & Gravel has opened a road on private property entering this intersection
from the east without stopping. This road has also been signed for a full stop at this
point.
Request an dendum to the original resolution be adopted to ammend the new stop sign.

NATURE OF REPORT
' SUBJECT: Recent complaints of stop sign running at the Intersection of
C Street Northwest and First Street on County Road 3i.
FACTS: At Subject intersection, Greeley Sand and Gravel has placed a
private entrance which is un-controled by any traffic device.
It is believed the frequent complaints concerning trucks running
stop signs originate from seeing trucks exiting Greeley Sand and
Gravel at the private entrance.
CONCLUSION:
Suggest that this problem be referred to the County Traffic
Engineer for review with Greeley Sand and Gravel for posting of
stop sign on the private drive.

LOCATION: Intersection of North 25th Ave , F Street and C Street
North West.
COMPLAINTS: Many from residents of this area. People using this
road and the two big businesses located on North 25th
Avenue.
TRAFFIC: Very Heavy, Heavy truck traffic from Greeley Sand & Gravel ,
and Flat Iron Paving Company.
TRAFFIC COUNT : 42 vehicles per hour. 1008 vehicles per 24 hours,
7056 vehicles in 7 days.
ACTION TAKEN: All above streets have been mae a full STOP at this
intersection . This makes a three way STOP . This has
been properly signed in accordance with existing Rules
and regulations.
Request a resolution be adopted to cover the above action.
