of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that drivers of motor
vehicles habitually drive on County Roads and through County road inter-
sections without regard for the general safety of drivers of other motor
vehicles, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to 1963 Colorado Revised Statutes, 13-5-69(1),
as amended, local authorities, with reference to streets or highways
under their jurisdiction, are authorized to designate through streets or
highways and erect stop signs at specified entrances thereto, and
WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to such complaints, has deter-
mined upon the basis of traffic and personal investigation that conditions

Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the Board deems it
necessary to regulate, warn and guide traffic on County roads and any

Subject; and CO. RD. #15 On Or Before
A complete traffic study has been completed at the intersection of Co. Rd. #76 and Co. Rd. #15.
County Rd. #15 dead ends into Go. Rd. #76. Also Co. Rd.#15 borders the Roth Subdivision on
the East. County Rd. #76 borders the Roth Subdivision on the North and North West Subdivision
on the South.
This is a very dangerous intersection due to the amount of children loading and unloading
from school buses in this area. Also the terrain makes it very difficult for drivers traveling
from West to East to see school buses stopped at the entrance to North West Subdivision.
Many complaints have been received from this area regarding near accidents involving school
buses.
Corrective action has been to speed zone approximately one mile on Rd #76 and one-half mile
on Rd #15 South from this intersection. Also Co. Rd. #15 has been made a stop at this point.
All existing rules and regulations have been fully complied with.
The attached diagram indicates the corrective action taken. The changes have been made and are
proving to be satisfactory.
Your cooperation in adopting a resolution to this effect will be appreciated.
