RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF JILL K. SCOTT AS DIRECTOR OF WELD COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Human Resources, in accordance with
Section 4-2(B) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, administers a system of employment
policies, rules, job classifications, and compensation plans in accordance with generally
accepted personnel principles, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners, after a nationwide search, deems
it advisable to appoint Jill K. Scott as the Director of the Weld County Department of Human
Resources, effective May 16, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Jill K. Scott be, and hereby is, appointed as the Director of the Weld County
Department of Human Resources, effective May 16, 2022.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 18th day of May, A.D., 2022, nunc pro tunc May 16, 2022.
