The Weld County Board of Health met on September 27, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor
hearing room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via
Microsoft Teams.
Those present included:
Board Members: Tom Cope, Doug Printz, Fred Hepner, Sandra Owens, Linda Kautz, and Bree
Lukens.
Others: Katie Sall and Lauren Light from Environmental Health.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The meeting was called to order at 9:02 AM. A motion was made by Fred Hepner to approve the
agenda. Doug Printz seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The board approved the minutes of the August 23, 2022, meeting. A motion was made to approve by
Tom Cope and Fred Hepner seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
Biosolids Renewal:
Denali Water Solutions — Katie Sall presented 8 biosolid renewal applications. No public
comment or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval.
DS -200407, DS -200639, DS -200714, DS -200912, DS -200913, DS -200914, DS -200822, DS -201109,
A motion was made by Doug Printz to approval the renewals. Linda Kautz seconded the motion and
the motion was carried unanimously.

Variance Request:
SP -2200264- 745 S McKinley Ave- Fort Lupton
Setback from onsite well to repair OWTS- less than 100 feet. Repaired the current system.
1. House built in 1964
2. Well Permit — 54 feet deep- 65 feet from the new leach field
3. Installed sand filter
Board of Health approved this variance with the following conditions:
Water test needs to be done before the permit can be issued. If the water test comes back with
a positive results additional testing will need to be done.
If property is sold, new owners must know of this variance
Board of Health recommended that water sample be done once each year
A motion was made to approve with the above conditions. Tom Cope approved and Fred Hepner
seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
Staff Discussion:
Meeting was adjourned at 9:30 am. Next meeting is October 25, 2022.
