WHEREAS, by Resolution adopted June 30, 1971, by the Board of
County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, a land use permit was
granted to Harvey J. Petersen for a dairy farm operation on the following
described property, to-wit:
A parcel of land located in the South Half (Sz) of the
Northwest Quarter (NW4-) of the Southwest Quarter
(SW4) of Section Thirty-two (32), Township Two (2)
North, Range Sixty-four (64) West and the North
Half (Nz) of the Southwest Quarter (SW-30 of the
Southwest Quarter (SW-30 of Section Thirty-two (32),
Township Two (2) North, Range Sixty-four (64)
West of the 6th P. M, , Weld County, Colorado, con-
taining 40 acres, more or less, and
WHEREAS, said permit for the location of a dairy farm operation
was granted on condition that construction of same was to commence
within one (1) year from date thereof, and
WHEREAS, it has now come to the attention of the Board that said
condition has not been complied with and that no construction has commenced
at the present time, and
WHEREAS, petitioner, Harvey J. Petersen, has requested that
construction of said dairy farm operation be extended for an additional
period of one (1) year because of complications due to adverse conditions
and circumstances beyond his control, and
WHEREAS, the Board has reviewed the facts and circumstances
surrounding the delay in the matter, and
WHEREAS, the Board being fully advised in the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the request of petitioner,
Harvey J. Petersen, be, and it hereby is granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the period of time to begin
construction of said dairy operation be extended to June 30, 1973, on con-
dition that petitioner proceed with due diligence to complete construction
of the operation; otherwise, the Board may, for good cause shown, on
its own motion, revoke the permit so granted.
